Daisy Chains, Woodland Adventures and the Freedom to Just Be.
This Childhood Storytelling Session in Grimsby is a beautiful example of natural childhood photography in Lincolnshire, capturing real moments of curiosity, play, and connection during a relaxed outdoor session.
We spent our time wandering through the woods and exploring the park, picking daisies, making daisy chains, and collecting little treasures along the way. There was no rush, no pressure, just the freedom to play and enjoy being a little girl.
Exploring, Discovering, & Being Curious
Children experience the world so differently, which is what makes childhood photography so special. In Grimsby and across Lincolnshire, outdoor childhood photography sessions allow children to explore freely while I capture natural expressions, movement, and connection as they happen.
Daisies & Daisy Chains
There’s something so special about these simple childhood moments, picking flowers, making daisy chains, and proudly wearing their creations. These are the kinds of details I love to capture in childhood photography sessions, where tiny hands and real expressions tell the story.
The Freedom to Just Be
Natural posing and prompting that allowed her space to run, twirl, collect, explore, and be completely herself. These are the moments that tell the most beautiful stories. The quiet ones. The playful ones. The in-between ones. The real ones.

FAQ
Where do childhood photography sessions take place in Lincolnshire?
Sessions take place outdoors across Lincolnshire, including woodland, wildflower meadows, parks, and meaningful locations in areas such as Grimsby, Barton-Upon-Humber, Lincoln, Cleethorpes, and the surrounding countryside.
How long does a childhood photography session last?
Childhood photoshoots usually last around 45 minutes, giving children plenty of time to relax, explore, and be themselves without pressure.
What age are childhood photography sessions suitable for?
These childhood storytelling sessions are designed for children from around 6 months (once babies can sit confidently) up to approximately 8 years old. They’re perfect for capturing this beautiful stage of early childhood, from curious babies and toddlers through to playful, expressive young children, all in a relaxed outdoor setting.
What if my child doesn’t want to pose?
If your child doesn’t want to pose, that’s absolutely fine, there’s no pressure at all during the session. I take time to help them feel relaxed and comfortable first, often using bubbles, toys, and gentle interaction so they can settle in naturally.
As they warm up, I use a mix of playful prompts and light direction to create both natural moments and more gently posed portraits, including simple setups where they feel happy and at ease. The goal is always to capture their personality in a way that feels relaxed, enjoyable, and true to who they are.
