There is something so lovely about photographing a couple as they get ready for such an exciting chapter in their lives.

This recent pre-wedding photoshoot took place in the beautiful woods at Woodhall Spa, and it was the perfect setting for this little family.

Mum and Dad brought their little girl along too, which meant we could turn their session into a lovely combination of couple and family photography.

And I loved that.

We captured beautiful photographs of the three of them together, some lovely portraits of their little girl on her own, and, of course, made sure to set aside some time for just Mum and Dad.

With their wedding coming up next year, it was such a lovely opportunity to capture this special time in their lives before they say "I do".

And I am already so excited for their wedding!

A Little Time for Just Mum and Dad

As lovely as it is to capture photographs of the whole family together, I also think it is so important to make time for just the two of you.

Life with little ones is full of wonderful moments, but it can sometimes be difficult to get photographs together without someone else needing a cuddle, wanting to explore or jumping into the middle of things!

So, during their session, we made sure to capture some photographs of just Mum and Dad together.

These are the photographs that celebrate them as a couple, capturing their connection and giving them something special to look back on as they get closer to their wedding day.

I love creating a mixture of photographs during sessions like this. Some where everyone is together, some that focus on the children, and some where parents can simply enjoy being together in front of the camera.

Because while becoming parents is such a huge part of your story, your relationship is part of it too.

And I think it is lovely to have photographs that celebrate both.

Excited for Their Wedding Next Year

I had such a lovely time photographing this gorgeous little family at Woodhall Spa, and I am so excited to see them again for their wedding next year.

It is always special to be invited to photograph such important moments in people's lives, and being able to capture this chapter before their wedding makes it even more meaningful.

Their pre-wedding session was a lovely reminder that there is so much to celebrate in the lead-up to a wedding, too.

Not just the big day itself, but all the little moments and memories that make up the journey there.

I cannot wait to see them get married next year and capture another chapter of their story.

Outdoor Couple & Family Photography in Lincolnshire

As a Lincolnshire photographer, I love making the most of the beautiful outdoor locations we have here, and Woodhall Spa woods are a wonderful example of how lovely a natural setting can be for both couple and family photography.

Whether you are looking for a pre-wedding photoshoot, some beautiful photographs of the two of you together, or a family session that includes your little ones, an outdoor session can be tailored to suit you.

You don't have to choose between couple photographs and family photographs, either.

We can make time for both, creating a collection of images that reflects the people you are, the relationships you share and this particular chapter of your lives.

Because your story doesn't begin on your wedding day, and it certainly doesn't stop there.

And sometimes, the most meaningful photographs are the ones that capture everything that makes your life yours, right now.
